I googled and have found some information (most german) for Mac users.
But nothing for Windows.
So here is my Vuvuzela Filter V1:
You need this free VST-plugin easyQ:

If you need it as Winamp DSP use this free VST to Winamp DSP wrapper:

It's called VST Host (it exists another plugin with same name, but this is something else), this one is better known as Winamp VST Bridge.
I still prefer version 1.0 (because it pops up automatically at every start).
Higher versions are hidden until you press the config button.
Install FFdshow (you need the Audio Decoder/Postprocessor) !
Then select FFdshow Audio Decoder for MP2 and AC3 decoding inside your DVB software options/preferences.
Inside FFdshow Audio Decoder configuration go to 'Winamp 2' and select VST Host as DSP.
Then load easyQ VST-plugin into VST Host,
And finally load my Vuvuzela Filter V1 preset for easyQ.
Like with all how-to-do-it guides it is not as complicated as it seems to be (when you read this guide).
Of course you could use something else.
For example the trial of this green oscilloscope live thing in bypassed mode (I just cannot remember its name) as a global DSP host for the wrapped VST-plugin and Stereo Tool !

This filtering is not perfect.
I had only a few minutes at the end of the game Portugal vs. Ivory Coast.
So, please tweak the settings and upload your own superior easyQ Vuvuzela preset here !

If it's really that simple.. Some years ago I wrote a noise removal filter which could be fed with some sounds, and would then remove those sounds from that point on. It worked very well on constant tones (50 Hz tone, a beep in the sound etc.). I never included it in Stereo Tool because for 'general' hiss sounds it didn't work as well as the noise gate filter that's currently present in Stereo Tool.
But if equalizer settings like this already improve things a lot, then a 'learning' filter - that could also ignore sounds that stick out in volume, so it would have less effect on other (louder) sounds at the same frequency - should work very well.
(Actually, this filter resembles the 'hiss removal' function in CoolEdit. At the time my filter gave slightly less artifacts than CoolEdit's for normal hiss sounds).

Not perfect, but for sure an improvement, less annoying.
As I said, I had only a few minutes yesterday at the end of the game Portugal vs. Ivory Coast.
So this V1 was a free hand creation.
Here is V2 (based on frequency information I have found on the web):
So this V2 won't change the sound characteristic as much as V1.
It only removes Vuvuzela (except I have added some subtle enhancement to compensate the Vuvuzela frequency removal)
Please Hans bake us a superior Winamp DSP and VST-plugin.
Maybe in a few years people will say:
'Are you talking about this Hans van Zutphen. The man who became famous for his Vuvuzela removal plugin. And then earned millions with his fantastic Stereo Tool.' !
